Princeton, California

What are the odds of four Princeton hockey teammates winding up the same professional team three years later? Well, apparently they are pretty good.

The Fresno Falcons of the ECHL announced yesterday the signing of Kyle Hagel, an assistant captain on last year's ECAC Championship team, and Dustin Sproat, the ECAC scoring champion in 2006. Those two join two players already there: Daryl Marcoux, a 2007 Princeton graduate, played in Fresno last season, while Grant Goeckner-Zoeller, also an '07 graduate and the seventh leading scorer in program history, played in the ECHL for Augusta and Dayton last season and was traded to Fresno last month.

Princeton head coach Guy Gadowsky played in Fresno during the 1995-96 season and served as the team's head coach for three seasons from 1996-99 before becoming the head coach at Alaska-Fairbanks.
